Obituary

Hayes, Betty Janet

Passed away peacefully March 9, 2019, at the age of 77 with her children by her side.
Betty was born September 9, 1941, and raised her family in Oshawa, Ontario where she was a supervisor of the parts department for General Motors for 33 years.
Predeceased by her parents, Mona and Frank Hibbert and her older brother Bob Hibbert. Lovingly remembered by her sister Sharon Van Vlack (Gary), brother Ed Hibbert (Paula) and brother Bill Hibbert (Kim).
Devoted and loving mother of Leigh-Ann (Len) and Mike Hayes. Loving Nana to Michael (Allie Ash), Cameron, Jamieson and Jack.
Betty will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. A special thank you to the health care staff at Hillsdale Estates for their outstanding care, and to Irene Cendana, Jenna and Christine Barrett for their kindness and support.
Resting at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East (905) 433-4711, for visitation on March 14th from 1-2 pm; Funeral Service in Chapel at 2 pm followed by reception.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.
