General Motors Retiree, 31 years-service –
Peacefully on Sunday April 28, 2019 at Hillsdale Terrace at the age of 85.
Hieronim, beloved husband for 56 years of Wladyslawa Slawecki (nee Startek).
Loving father of Barbara (David) Laturski and John (Helen) Slawecki. Devoted
Poppa of Matthew and Kasia. Dear brother of Regina Mielewczyk, and the late
Zosia Dorotiak. Missed by nieces, nephews and cousins in Poland, Ukraine and
Russia. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and many
dear friends. Heart- felt thanks to family doctor, Dr. Abdul-Rahman, ParaMed
Oshawa, and all the staff at Hillsdale Terrace for their kind and gentle care. A long
time member of the Zwiazek Narodowy Polski Gmina 7, the Polish Veteran’s
Association, and usher at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church.

Resting at Armstrong Funeral Home on Sunday May 5, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9
pm. Parish prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church (Olive & Central
Park) on Monday May 6, 2019 at 11 am.
Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation
